Last week, he gave us two surprises. One day, he was riding his bicycle with his friend and mother. They went home and thought Parker turned back to come just a few doors down to our house. Instead, he doubled-back and rode around the block. A friend of ours saw him, told him he'd better go home, and called us to let us know. I was on my way to the store when I came back to get him and found him on his way to a main road. He said he wanted to go to the grocery store because we needed snacks! Oh, that child.
A couple of days later, he decided he wanted to go to work with me. He hid in the back of my SUV. My husband tried calling me but couldn't reach me because my phone was on silent, so it didn't even vibrate as he phoned. He finally called and reached me at work just as I got there. I got off the phone and ran the corner to find that my son had crossed the street after walking through a busy parking lot to come into the building. He said he just wanted to go to work with me.
So...today is the last day of his grounding. I think he's learned his lesson. I love this child.
